Beijing, 25th August 2025 – In a landmark announcement during the International Science Culture Construction Day celebrations [1], the International Green Science Center for Latin America and the Caribbean (IGSCLAC) in collaboration with the Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology (ARCST) officially launched the Green Science Library, a first-of-its-kind open-access digital platform dedicated to sustainability science.
This innovative library is designed to be a cornerstone for the region’s scientific development, providing free access to a curated collection of high-quality research, educational resources, data sets, and policy briefs focused on climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, renewable energy, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture.
Building a New Scientific Culture
The Green Science Library is more than a repository; it is a vital engine for the “Science Culture Construction” paradigm [2]. It directly addresses critical barriers to sustainable development by:
