Unveiling Cervantes’s Circle The Launch of Three Anthological Volumes

“Friends, colleagues, members of the literary community:”

We gather today under the sign of a literary curiosity bordering on the prodigious. With great honor, we present not one, but three anthological volumes, works by the erudite Professor Sliwa [1], which finally see the light of day thanks to the editorial team of Universidad Privada del Valle (UNIVALLE), the Journal of Latin American Sciences and Culture (JLASC), and the Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology (ARCST), after having been announced on August 25 during the celebration of the International Day for Building a Scientific Culture 2025 held at the Jintai Art Museum in Beijing, China [2].

The singularity of this event lies in a mystery that is revealed today: six of the authors included in these anthologies were mentioned in Professor Sliwa’s previous masterpiece, “Life of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra” [3]. It was in this work that Cervantes’s fascinating yearning to cross the ocean to South America was revealed, a desire he cherished on at least three occasions. These six friends, these names that until now were only echoes in a text, now take on flesh and voice. Their writings, rescued from oblivion, come alive in these pages. And to further weave this thread of destiny, we have the privilege of having captured Professor Sliwa’s voice in an interview, where he himself unravels these and other stories about the inextricable connection between Cervantes and Latin America [4,5].

Today, therefore, we are not only launching books [6]. We are opening a window onto an unsuspected past. We will get to know Cervantes’s companions firsthand, hear the echo of their pens, and discover the texts of those who surrounded the genius. We invite you, then, to delve together into this astonishing chapter of literary history. To confirm your participation in this launch event and ensure your access to the materials and recordings, please complete the brief form here or scan the QR code attached to the following invitation.

We look forward to seeing you there!
