In a remarkable display of international scientific sinergy, the collaboration between Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), the International Green Science center for Latin America and the Caribbean (IGSCLAC) and the Andrean Road Countries for Science and Technology (ARCST) has reached new heights for a second consecutive year, culminating in a triumphant success at the recent iGEM competition in France.
The partnership, forged under the “Biosyn Bridge” project, aimed to make synthetic biology education more accessible and engaging. A cornerstone of this collaboration was the interactive game “Biopochito,” developed by IGSCLAC and ARCST and adapted to the iGEM in collaboration to BUCT. This innovative tool, which creatively integrates basic synthetic biology concepts into an engaging gameplay experience, was showcased on BUCT’s global educational platform. The collaboration proved to be a winning formula, with the joint project not only taking “Biopochito” to the international stage in France but also securing a prestigious Gold Medal for the team. The project was further recognized with the awards for Best Bioremediation Project and Best Education, showing the power of their combined efforts.
This harmonious collaboration among BUCT, IGSCLAC, and ARCST serves as an example of how cross-cultural partnerships can advance scientific culture through green innovation and the smart integration of AI. By fostering scientific communication, science popularization, and green technology, ARCST is proud to have played a pivotal role in this success.
