Biopochito the powerful connection between science learning and fun

The Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology (ARCST)  participated in the Beijing International Science Festival, held at the National Convention Center in Beijing, China from August 8-11, where over 21,000 children with their families visited the Science Festival during the four-day event. At the heart of our participation was the presentation of BIOPOCHITO, a groundbreaking educational tool designed to inspire a new generation of environmental caretakers.

BIOPOCHITO it’s an engaging journey that immerses children in the wonders of biodiversity, the challenges of climate change, and the principles of sustainable living. Through interactive gameplay, BIOPOCHITO helps young minds develop nature-positive skills, instill eco-friendly habits, and foster a deep love for the environment. The tool goes beyond simply teaching facts—it encourages informed decision-making and a lifelong commitment to protecting our planet.

As a complement to the Biopochito experience, members of the ARCST took the opportunity to interview some of the children who achieved the highest scores and showed a deep passion for the game to gain insights into their experiences. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive; children were so captivated by Biopochito that some even stayed with us for several hours immersed in the game while their families explored other parts of the science festival. This kind of enthusiastic reception is truly inspiring and serves as the best motivation to continue bringing Green Science to more children.

The joy experienced by everyone during our Biopochito presentation was palpable, radiating not just from the children who eagerly engaged with the game, but also from our members who shared in their excitement. The enthusiasm of the kids, their smiles, and their curiosity created an infectious atmosphere that invigorated our team, reinforcing the importance of our work. This shared happiness during the Biopochito presentation shows the connection between our mission and its impact, making the experience profoundly rewarding for all involved.
