World Green Science Day (WGSD) is an annual global observance held every December 9th to honor the transformative power of science and education in forging a sustainable and equitable world. Now in its fourth edition, WGSD has evolved into a pivotal movement that unites scientists, educators, policymakers, youth, and institutions across the globe.
In 2025, as we face escalating climate challenges and growing societal disparities, the need for a unified, culturally-embedded scientific approach has never been greater. WGSD 2025, under the theme “Building Bridges: Science Culture for a Sustainable Future,” calls for a paradigm shift from isolated scientific endeavors to a collaborative, inclusive, and accessible science culture that drives tangible action.
