Scientific Writing Workshop: Strengthening Scholarly Publishing Through International Collaboration

A forthcoming workshop aims to strengthen scholarly publishing capacity through a new partnership with the Journal of Latin American Sciences and Culture (JLASC). Scheduled for 24 March at 19:30 (virtual format, Microsoft Teams), the session—titled Redacción de Artículos Científicos (Scientific Article Writing)—is open to all members of the academic community interested in the topic.

Within the framework of science culture construction, this initiative seeks to democratize access to scholarly publishing, empower researchers with the tools to disseminate their work effectively, and foster a sustained dialogue between scientific production and societal impact. By bridging institutional knowledge with editorial expertise, the workshop contributes to the cultivation of a more inclusive and robust scientific ecosystem.

The Scientific Writing Workshop will be led by Prof. José Gabriel Pérez Canencio, Prof. Jorge Enrique Guevara Bejarano, and Prof. Mary Luz Ojeda Solarte, whose expertise spans technology and sustainability, interdisciplinary environmental processes, and environmental education, respectively. Their guidance reflects a broader institutional commitment to elevating research output and fostering international academic exchange.

The collaboration between UNIVALLE, JLASC, and the Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology marks a strategic step toward integrating regional scholarship into wider Latin American scientific and cultural discourse. The event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
