Meknès, Morocco – May 13, 2026 – Dr. Marco A. Cabero Z., Chairman of The Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology (ARCST) and Science Diplomat from Bolivia, participated as a featured speaker at the First International Spring Academy on Media and Information Literacy Diplomacy (ISA-MILID 2026), held at Université Moulay Ismail Meknès in partnership with UNESCO and the UNESCO-UNITWIN Network on MIL and Intercultural Dialogue.

He introduced Biopochito AI, a culturally adaptive, playful AI companion designed to foster curiosity, media literacy, and scientific thinking among children. Biopochito has reached over 100,000 children across 4 continents and was recently tested at AFANIAC, an association for children facing cancer in Bolivia.
The session was moderated by Dr. Abdelhamid Nfissi and included keynote addresses by Dr. Paulette Kerr (in whose memory the session was dedicated) and Dr. Alton Grizzle (UNESCO, Paris), as well as presentations by Ms. Alia Papageorgiou, Dr. Verónica Yépez Reyes, and Dr. Drissia Chouit.
ARCST extends its gratitude to the organizers, particularly Dr. Drissia Chouit and her team, for the invitation and for advancing global dialogue on media literacy as a human rights issue.
