The second episode premieres globally, uniting Latin America in a dialogue on education and green science.

Date: March 17, 2026
In an increasingly interconnected world, the construction of a robust scientific culture requires more than just laboratory reports; it demands dialogue, accessibility, and the crossing of geographical and linguistic borders. It is within this framework of global collaboration that we celebrate the international premiere of the second episode of “Voices of Science,” a podcast that positions Latin American academic discourse on the world stage.
This innovative audio-visual production, created by Univalle Online in collaboration with the Strategic and Digital Communication program at the Universidad del Valle Sede La Paz (Bolivia), the Journal of Latin American Sciences and Culture, and the Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology, premieres this Wednesday, March 18th. It will be broadcast at 08:00 Bolivia / 07:00 Colombia, exclusively via the official Univalle Online social media channels on Facebook and YouTube.
A Binational Dialogue on Sustainability and Education
The upcoming episode stands as a testament to the power of regional integration. Hosted by the distinguished Lic. Yelka Aguilera, this edition features a panel of experts from Colombia who will share their insights on the intersection of education, communication, and environmental stewardship.
The special guests include:
Prof. Mary Ojeda
Prof. Jorge Guevara
Prof. José Pérez
These academics represent the Universidad Central del Valle del Cauca (UCEVA) and the International Center for Green Science for Latin America and the Caribbean (IGSCLAC), the Journal of Latin American Sciences and Culture, and the Andean Road Countries for Science and Technology. Their presence demonstrates collaboration between higher education institutions and international research centers focused on the urgent issues of sustainability and scientific development in the Tropics.
Science Culture as a Pillar of Development
At the Journal of Latin American Sciences and Culture, we firmly believe that initiatives like Voices of Science are essential actions in the ongoing effort to construct a participatory and accessible science culture. By moving academic discussion from the confines of the classroom to the accessibility of a podcast, Univalle Online is democratizing knowledge.
This program is a concrete example of how strategic communication can serve as a vehicle for “science without borders,” fulfilling the social mission of public universities. It transforms complex academic concepts into conversations that resonate with students, researchers, and the general public alike, fostering a society that values talent, university spirit, and the transformative power of knowledge.
We invite our readers, researchers, and students to join this global conversation. Tune in to the premiere and be part of a dialogue that strengthens the ties between Bolivia, Colombia, and the international scientific community.
Connect with science without borders.
