The second phase results of the SFAST 2023 contest released

​Dear Contestants,

We are excited to announce the “Sustainable Future through Applications of Science and Technology – SFAST 2023.” contest that aims to promote the application of science and technology towards a sustainable future. The contest is open to all individuals who are passionate about science and technology and want to make a difference in the world.

The theme for this year’s contest is “Sustainable Future through Applications of Science and Technology.” We encourage participants to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas that can help create a sustainable future for all.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 10 exceptional candidates out of 200, who have been selected for the next phase of the SFAST 2023. Your outstanding achievements and dedication have truly set you apart, and we look forward to witnessing your continued success.

To the participants who did not make it to the final round, we want to express our sincere appreciation for your hard work and commitment throughout the “Sustainable Future through Applications of Science and Technology – SFAST 2023”. The competition was fierce, and each one of you contributed significantly to the overall excellence of the event. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we commend you for your passion and enthusiasm. Remember that success is a journey, and this experience is just one step in your path. Your resilience and determination have left a lasting impression, and we encourage you to build on this experience as you pursue future opportunities.

For the final phase of the contest, the 10 participants will prepare a:

Video Presentation: We kindly request you to submit a 5-minute video presentation in which you will present your project, highlighting your motivation and reasons for proposing your ideas.

Submission Deadline: Please ensure that your video is submitted by December 23rd, 2023.

Announcement of Results: The best three works will be announced on January 2nd, 2024 at 15:00 (France time).

  • Clarity of Message: The video should effectively communicate the scientific information clearly and understandably.
  • Engagement: The video should engage the audience and maintain their interest throughout the presentation.
  • Storytelling: A well-structured narrative or storyline can enhance the video’s impact and make the scientific content more accessible.

Visual and Audio Quality:

  • Video Quality: Clear and high-resolution visuals contribute to a professional presentation.
  • Audio Quality: Good audio is essential for clear narration and overall viewer experience.
  • Graphics and Animation: Effective use of graphics, animations, and visuals can enhance understanding and engagement.

Creativity:

  • Innovative Presentation: Creativity in how the information is presented can set a video apart.
  • Visual Appeal: The video should be visually appealing and well-designed.

Adherence to Guidelines:

  • Compliance: Judges may evaluate if the video adheres to the specific guidelines and rules of the contest.
  • Duration: The length of the video should typically comply with the contest’s specified time limits.

Impact and Significance:

  • Scientific Impact: Judges may consider the potential impact of the research or ideas presented in the video.
